Why isn't my remote pairing with the Fire TV Stick?

First, check that the batteries are properly inserted into the remote's battery compartment. If the remote still isn't pairing, press and hold the Home button until the LED flashes amber, then blue to manually pair it. If pairing still fails, unplug your Fire TV Stick, wait one minute, plug it back in, and try pressing and holding the Home button again.
