How do I turn on single-mode and dual-mode?

In single mode, only one of the left or right earphones is connected to the phone. Press and hold any button in the charging case for a few seconds until it lights up green to switch back to dual mode (both earbuds are active). In dual mode, both earbuds light up simultaneously.
