What should I do before using the oven for the very first time?

Before first use, remove all packaging materials and accessories, then operate the oven at the highest temperature for 30 minutes to burn off any production residues. After the oven cools, wipe all surfaces with a wet cloth and clean the accessories with detergent water and a soft sponge. Note that smoke and odour may appear for several hours during first use, which is normal — ensure good ventilation. (Page 19-20)
