What is the correct procedure for emptying my pool?

To drain the pool, start by unscrewing and removing the drain valve cap in an anticlockwise direction on the outside of the pool. Attach one end of a hose to the adaptor and the other into your chosen drainage area. Screw control ring clockwise onto the drain valve so water starts draining automatically; adjust it as necessary for flow rate. When finished, remove and screw back the cap securely post-emptying.
