What should I do with frozen food during a power failure?

During a power failure, open the appliance as little as possible and do not place any additional food inside. Immediately after power is restored, check the quality of all frozen food — dispose of any frozen food that has defrosted and is warmer than 41°F (5°C), and cook or fry slightly thawed frozen food before consuming or refreezing it.
