What items are not recommended for washing in my dishwasher?

Do not wash acrylic (may develop small cracks), adhesive-joined pieces (adhesives may loosen), bone-handled utensils (handles may separate), iron (will rust), pewter/brass/bronze (will tarnish), tin (will stain), or wood items (can crack, warp, and lose finish). Also do not wash plastic items unless marked dishwasher safe. Hand wash and dry these items immediately after hand washing.
