How do I perform a first wash on my new Bosch washing machine before using it?

Do not load any laundry for the first wash, as the machine was tested at the factory and may have residual water. Add half a measuring cup of detergent to compartment II, close the drawer, turn the programme selector to a 60°C programme, and press the Start/Pause button. At the end of the programme, turn the selector to Stop (Off) and leave the door open to allow the inside to dry out. (Page 8)
