Should I use aluminum foil or oven liners on the cooktop or inside the oven?

You should never use aluminum foil or protective liners to line any part of the appliance, especially the oven bottom, as this may result in a risk of electric shock or fire. Aluminum foil in the cooking compartment must not come into contact with the door glass, as it could cause permanent discoloration. Additionally, aluminum foil and plastic will melt in hot cooking areas and should not be used on the cooktop surface. (Page 6, 9, 12)
