What should I check before calling for service if the cooktop is not working?

Before calling for service, verify that the gas shut-off valve is in the ON position and the home gas supply is not shut off. Also ensure the burner caps are properly positioned, the burner ports are not clogged, the igniters are clean and dry, and there is no draft in the room. Additionally, check that the unit is plugged in, properly grounded, and that the circuit breaker has not tripped. (Page 15)
