How do I safely load knives and sharp utensils in the dishwasher?

Knives and other sharp utensils should be loaded with their edges down to reduce the risk of cut-type injuries. Place forks and spoons with their handles down in the silverware basket. Do not allow children to handle or play near knives and sharp utensils. (Pages 8, 20)
