What should I do if my dishwasher seems to run for a very long time?

Check that the incoming water is warm enough by running hot water at the nearest sink before starting a cycle. Sensors automatically increase cycle time when heavy soil is detected. Verify the rinse aid dispenser is filled and the rinse aid setting has not been set to 0. Check that the dishwasher is connected to hot water supply plumbing, not cold water.
