Do I need to remove the transport bolts before using the washer for the first time?

Yes, all four transport bolts must be removed before operating the washer. If the transport bolts are not removed, the washer will vibrate excessively and could cause damage, and will be much noisier during spin cycles. Save the transport bolt assemblies for future use if you need to move the washer. (Page 14)
