How do I open the door if there is a power failure?

To mechanically unlock the door during a power failure, turn the programme selector to Stop (Off) and unplug the mains plug from the socket. Open the base panel and drain the water, then pull the emergency release downwards while opening the door at the same time. Before opening, make sure there is no water or hot detergent solution inside, and never open the door with the emergency release while the drum is still turning. (Page 23)
