What should I do if coffee grinds are getting into my cup?

If using the gold tone filter, it is normal for some fine coffee grinds to appear as sediment in the cup or carafe. Switch to using a paper filter (8-12 cup, flat base basket style) if you wish to eliminate all grinds. Alternatively, ensure the coffee basket has been properly cleaned after each use and that residual grinds from previous use are removed.
