Before cleaning, ensure the POWER/MENU dial is set to the OFF position and remove the power plug from the outlet. Allow your waffle maker to cool a bit before cleaning as it is easier to clean when slightly warm. Wipe cooking plates and overflow moat with a soft cloth to remove food residue. Do not immerse any part of the waffle maker in water or any other liquid.
