How do I sew buttonholes on the XH2135-001?

Set the pattern selection dial to Buttonhole, attach the buttonhole foot 'A', mark the buttonhole position and length with tailor's chalk, and lower the buttonhole lever. The machine will sew the bar tacks automatically in a specific order. Set the button guide plate to the length equal to the button diameter plus thickness. (Page 2)
