What should I do if the machine is not working properly or has been damaged?

If the machine has a damaged cord or plug, is not working properly, has been dropped or damaged, or has had water spilled on it, return it to the nearest authorized Brother dealer or service center for examination, repair, or mechanical adjustment. If you notice anything unusual such as an odor, heat, discoloration, or deformation, stop using the machine immediately and unplug the power cord. Do not attempt repairs yourself — contact your authorized Brother Service Center.
