How should I clean the oven before using it for the first time?

Before first use, clean the oven by wiping external surfaces with a damp soft cloth, washing all accessories, and wiping the inside with hot water and washing up liquid. Then set the empty oven to maximum temperature and leave on for about 1 hour to remove any lingering smells of newness. (Page 6)
