Where is the safest place to install a child restraint in the 2010 Impala?
Children and child restraints should be secured in a rear seat, as accident statistics show children are safer when properly restrained in rear seating positions rather than front seating positions. Never put a rear-facing child seat in the front seat, and never secure a child restraint in the center front seat position, as a child could be badly injured or killed by the frontal airbags if they inflate. If you must secure a forward-facing child restraint in the right front seat, always move the front passenger seat as far back as it will go. (Page 42)
