How do I use the Remote Vehicle Start feature on the 2013 Malibu?

To start the engine remotely, aim the RKE transmitter at the vehicle, press and release the Lock button (Q), then immediately press and hold the Remote Start button (/) for at least two seconds or until the turn signal lamps flash. When the engine starts, the parking lamps will turn on and remain on as long as the engine is running, and the doors will be locked. The engine will run for 10 minutes, and you can extend it once for an additional 10 minutes by repeating the steps. (Page 11)
