What conditions will prevent the Remote Vehicle Start from working?

The remote vehicle start will not operate if the key is in the ignition or inside the vehicle (keyless access), the hood is not closed, the hazard warning flashers are on, the malfunction indicator lamp is on, the engine coolant temperature is too high, or the oil pressure is low. It will also not work if two remote starts or a single remote start with an extension have already been used, or if the vehicle is not in P (Park). (Page 42)
