How do I adjust the cutting arm downward travel?

Lower the blade as far as possible and loosen the locknut. Turn the adjustment bolt counterclockwise to decrease the cutting depth or clockwise to increase it. Carefully rotate the blade manually to check for contact, avoiding touching blade points. Repeat until properly adjusted, then tighten the locknut to secure the adjustment bolt.
