How do I install the laser guide batteries?

Unplug the miter saw first, then remove the locking screw on the battery cover with a Phillips screwdriver and open the cover. Insert the two supplied AAA 1.5-volt batteries according to the diagram inside, then replace the cover and tighten the locking screw securely. If replacing old batteries, dispose of them properly before inserting the new ones. (Page 13)
