How do I replace the carbon brushes in the motor?

First, unplug the saw. Remove the black plastic cap on the side of the motor carefully, as it is springloaded. Pull out the brush and replace it. Replace the brush on the other side the same way. To reassemble, reverse the procedure, making sure the ears on the metal end of the assembly go in the same hole the carbon part fits into, then tighten the cap snugly but do not overtighten.
