How should I transport or store the miter saw safely?

When transporting or storing the miter saw, the cutting head must always be locked in the down position using the hold-down latch. Never carry the miter saw by the switch handle, cutting arm, miter handle, or power cord — always use the designated carrying handle. Carrying the tool by the power cord could damage insulation or wire connections, resulting in electric shock or fire. (Page 12, 16)
