What should I do before each use to inspect my saw?

Before each use, disconnect the miter saw and unplug it. Compare the rotation arrow on the guard to the arrow on the blade (teeth should point downward). Tighten the arbor bolt and cover plate screw. Check for damaged parts, alignment of moving parts, binding, damaged cords, and proper function of the arm return spring and lower guard. Keep all guards in place and in working order.
