How do I properly store my tractor at the end of the season?

Empty the fuel tank by running the engine until the fuel lines and carburetor are empty, or use a fuel stabilizer and run the engine for at least 10 minutes to allow it to reach the carburetor. Drain the warm engine oil and replace with fresh oil, remove and store the mower deck, and fully charge the battery — disconnecting the cables for long-term storage. If storing indoors, cover the tractor with a breathable cover rather than plastic, as plastic traps condensation and can cause rust. (Page 29)
