Why is my Craftsman lawn mower losing power?

Loss of power can result from the rear of the mower housing or blade dragging in grass, cutting too much grass, a dirty air filter, grass buildup under the mower, too much oil in the engine, or walking too fast. To correct this, raise the cutting height, clean or replace the air filter, clean the mower's underside, check the oil level, and reduce your walking speed.
