How do I replace the mower line on the M220?

First, stop the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop. Remove the worn mower line by pulling the exposed 1-inch line from the outfeed hole. Push one end of the new 0.155-inch diameter mower line (cut to 15 inches length) through the insertion hole until approximately 1 inch is exposed on the outfeed side. Repeat for each of the four locations, ensuring the line length is the same at all four locations. Do not allow the line lengths to vary more than one inch.
