How do I know when the auger paddles need to be replaced?

The rubber auger paddles should be replaced if any signs of excessive wear are present. It is critical that you do not allow the paddles to wear to the point where portions of the metal auger itself can come in contact with the pavement, as this can result in serious damage to the snow blower.
