When should I empty the dirty water tank?

Empty the dirty water tank when the dirty water reaches the 'FULL' line or when the float shuts off airflow, which is indicated by a change in pitch of the motor and reduced suction. You will typically need to empty the dirty water tank once or twice with each fill-up of the clean solution reservoir. Failure to empty it regularly may result in poor dirty water pickup. (Page 2)
