First rough-dry your hair with the Coanda smoothing dryer, then use a smoothing brush to brush from root to tip. The Coanda smoothing dryer has two modes — drying and smoothing — which you can switch between by rotating the cool tip. You can also press it against the hair to switch the airflow direction.
