How do I empty the bin on my Dyson SV12?

Press the red wand release button and pull the wand away, then hold the machine over a bin pointing downwards and firmly push the red bin release button — the bin will slide down and the bin base will open. To minimize dust contact, cover your bin tightly in a dustproof bag while emptying, then seal and dispose of the bag. Empty the bin as soon as the dirt reaches the MAX level and do not overfill, as this may affect performance. (Page 7)
