How do I empty the bin without making a mess?

Empty the bin as soon as the dirt reaches the MAX level by pressing the red bin release button and holding the machine over a trash bin pointing downwards. To minimize dust contact, cover your bin tightly in a dust proof bag while you empty, then remove the bin carefully, seal the bag tightly, and dispose. Make sure to push the red bin release button all the way down, as the bin base won't open if it isn't fully pushed.
