How often should I wash the filter and how do I do it?

Wash your filter at least once a month to maintain optimum suction power. Twist the filter counter-clockwise to remove it, tap it over a bin to remove loose debris, then wash it under warm running tap water while gently rubbing with your fingers. Leave it to dry for at least 24 hours in a well-ventilated, warm place before refitting. (Page 9)
