How do I quickly read alarm codes without going into diagnostic mode?

Press and hold START/PAUSE and the nearest option button for at least two seconds; LEDs will first switch off, then display flashing sequence corresponding to any stored alarms. Alarm continues until buttons released. Keep selected cycle/preset settings during this action.
