Error Code F20
Overheat or runaway heat condition detected in the oven. In normal cooking mode, indicates temperature exceeding 650°F (343°C). During self-clean mode, indicates temperature over 915°F (491°C).
? What Causes This
Defective temperature sensor, faulty sensor wiring harness with corroded or loose connections, malfunctioning cooling fan, or defective Electronic Range Control (ERC).
✓ How to Fix It
- Measure the temperature sensor's resistance at room temperature (should be approximately 1100 Ω).
- If resistance is significantly higher (e.g., 1600 Ω), replace the sensor.
- Inspect wiring between sensor and ERC for defects and corrosion.
- Check cooling fan operation.
- If steps 1-4 don't resolve the issue, replace the ERC.
