GREEN DTC (No DTCs present)

No codes are retrieved. A message 'No DTCs are presently stored in the vehicle's computer' is shown in green.

GREEN LED

Indicates that all engine systems are running normally. All Monitors on the vehicle are active and performing their diagnostic testing, and no DTCs are present.

Link Error

Communication error between the scanner and vehicle or app — unable to establish proper connection.

MIL Flashing once per second

A Type A misfire DTC has been detected that may cause damage to the catalytic converter. The Malfunction Indicator lamp flashes once per second.

MIL Steady On

The Malfunction Indicator lamp is lit steady on, indicating a stored DTC is present.

No ABS DTC's are presently stored

No Anti-Lock Brake System diagnostic trouble codes are present.

No OEM Enhanced DTC's are presently stored

No manufacturer-specific enhanced DTCs are present in the vehicle's computer memory.

No Powertrain DTCs or Freeze Frame Data presently stored

No diagnostic trouble codes are present in the vehicle's computer memory.

No SRS DTC's are presently stored

No Supplemental Restraint System diagnostic trouble codes are present.

No TPMS DTC's are presently stored

No Tire Pressure Monitoring System diagnostic trouble codes are present.

RED DTC (Stored or Permanent DTC)

The currently displayed DTC is a STORED or Permanent DTC, indicating an active emissions-related fault.

RED LED

Indicates there is a problem in one or more of the vehicle's systems. The red LED is also used to show that DTC(s) are present. The Malfunction Indicator (Check Engine) lamp on the vehicle's instrument panel will light steady on.

System Pass

No ABS DTCs are present. The ABS system is functioning properly.

YELLOW DTC (Pending DTC)

The currently displayed DTC is a PENDING DTC, indicating a fault that has been detected once but not yet confirmed.

YELLOW LED

Indicates there is a possible problem. A Pending DTC is present and/or some of the vehicle's emission monitors have not run their diagnostic testing.
