The arm cuff is inflated exceeding the maximum allowable pressure.

? What Causes This

Touching the arm cuff and/or bending the air tube while taking a measurement, or manual inflation exceeded safe limits.

Do not touch the arm cuff and/or bend the air tube while taking a measurement.
If inflating manually, refer to the end of sub-section 3.1 for proper technique.
