What handle positions should I use when traveling in a vehicle?

For U.S. models, you can place the handle in Position 1 or Position 4 when traveling in a vehicle. For Canadian models, you must place the handle in Position 1 only when traveling. Positions 2, 3, and 5 should never be used while the vehicle is in motion. Position 2 is for carrying the child, Position 3 is for convenience, and Position 5 is for standing the carrier on the floor. (Pages 20-21)
