How do I install the Safemax base using the LATCH system?

First, remove the LATCH straps from storage pockets and extend them to full length. Route the LATCH belt through belt path openings on both sides of the base, then push the connectors onto vehicle lower anchor points until they click. Pull the adjustment strap to remove slack while pushing the base tight against the seat, then close the Fit-loc belt tightener by pushing down with your thumbs until you see green in the indicator window. Check that the base does not move more than 2.5 cm (1 inch) side-to-side or front-to-back. (Pages 48-51)
