What should I know about the AC cord and power plug?

Never alter the AC cord or plug provided with the charger. The unit has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other) as a safety feature that fits into an outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse it; if it still doesn't fit, contact a qualified electrician rather than attempting to defeat this safety feature.
