Why does my grill only heat to 200–300°F instead of reaching normal cooking temperatures?

This is often caused by the regulator's built-in safety device being triggered, which restricts gas flow even without an actual leak. To reset it, turn off all burners and close the LP tank valve, disconnect the regulator from the tank, wait one minute, then reconnect and slowly open the tank valve fully before relighting. You should also check for a kinked fuel hose, dirty burners or orifices, or spider/insect blockages. (Page 14)
