Can I use an extension cord with my Farberware FPC600 pressure cooker?

Yes, longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is exercised. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least as great as the appliance's rating, and it should be arranged so it won't drape over countertops where children could pull on it or cause tripping hazards. If your appliance is grounded, use a grounding-type 3-wire extension cord (Page 4).
