Why is the ice maker making small ice cubes or chips?

Small ice cubes or ice chips jamming in the ice maker may indicate that your water filter needs changing. As the filter becomes clogged with particles near the end of its useful life, less water is delivered to the ice maker during each cycle, causing incomplete filling of the ice mold. If this occurs or it's been six months or longer since you last changed the filter, replace it with a new one. (Page 17)
