Can I use a self-piercing shutoff valve when connecting the water supply?
No, you must not use a self-piercing type shutoff valve when connecting the water supply line to your household water system. For homes with an existing valve, Frigidaire recommends using Smart Choice® water line kit 5304437642, and for homes without an existing valve, kit 5304493869. (Page 4)
