What should I do if my hot water system hasn't been used for 2 weeks or more?
If your hot water system has not been used for 2 weeks or more, turn it on for several minutes before using the dishwasher. This will release any accumulated hydrogen gas, which is explosive. Do not smoke or use an open flame during this time.
