Powering and Initial Cabling Overview To power on the gateway, press the back panel's power button. The Power indicator will turn GREEN when powered correctly. During startup, LED status indicators display as follows: • Internet: solid BLUE for active connection, solid RED if no IP address, and off if no Broadband connection. • Other indicators remain off initially, except for Ethernet and Wireless which light GREEN upon activation. After initial setup, it may take several minutes to achieve service connectivity. Note that the National Electric Code section 820-93 specifies proper equipment grounding requirements for CATV System Installers. To connect the gateway: • ONT Broadband: Connect an Ethernet cable from the gateway's ONT Broadband port to the incoming connection. • MoCA: Connect a F-Connector terminated coaxial cable from the gateway's Cable Line terminal to the service connection. • Digital Phone Service: Connect the supplied RJ11 phone cable from the gateway's Phone port to a phone or fax machine. • Ethernet: Connect an Ethernet cable from one of the gateway's Ethernet ports to a local computer.
