How do I install the faucet adapter before using the dishwasher for the first time?

Remove the old aerator or trim ring from your faucet spout before attaching the adapter. If your faucet has external threads, insert the thinner of the two supplied washers into the faucet adapter and attach it; if your faucet has internal threads, insert both washers. If the adapter threads do not match your faucet, a local hardware or plumbing supply store can provide additional fittings. (Page 12)
