How do I load the upper rack correctly?
The upper rack is designed for glasses, cups and saucers, with cups and glasses fitting best along the sides. This rack is also a secure place for dishwasher-safe plastics and is good for all kinds of odd-shaped utensils. Saucepans, mixing bowls and other items should be placed face down, and you should secure larger dishwasher-safe plastics over two fingers when possible to prevent small plastic items from falling onto the heating element.
